Good Krin. Beautiful finish and carving but only one of the two tongues sound great. They sent a video upon request. After that , responses were slow and impersonal. I inquiered about having a XL krin custom made and what the largest size they typically make was. After a very slow response they wrote back with no response to my question, only to say that more krins are in stock and will be for sale "soon". They could really use improvement on customer relations. Also I noticed that large djembe shells are $1,300 just for the shell. Even for American prices this is outragous. Djembe Mafia does far better custom builds for way less money. Baragnouma needs to be more reasonable with their prices IMO.

I ordered custom case for my balafon and it did fit but the strap was sewn incorrectly. I ordered 4 sets of mallets, 2 felt tipped and 2 rubber tipped. The mallets sounded and performed much better than the set I had. One of the rubber tipped mallets was not cut to the correct length. The worst part was one of the rubber tipped mallets arrived with wood eating beetles. I was able to catch it but one of my balafon keys showed signs of insect damage. If i had not caught it, the beetles could have done more damage...I reached out to Fabrice on October 9th and have yet to receive a response to my email. I'm disappointed because this experience has put me off from any future orders. It is clear that this package was prepared in too much of a rush. If someone had taken about 5 extra minutes to look, the strap could have been sewn the right and they may have seen the insect holes in the mallet. I will be contacting PayPal to request a refund for at least the set of mallets arrived that not cut to length and the wood eating beetles. UPDATE: It was brought to my attention that Fabrice had in fact responded to me several times and his emails went to my spam folder. I was able to finally chat with him and we were able to solve the issues amicably and he refunded me the price of the bad mallets. He also explained that the wood used for other instruments are resistant to pests. Thanks again Fabrice

I would have loved the duel wood Kora neck but am very glad you resolved the issue by sending me a refund for the difference in price. Shipping was good and the item packaged securely. It arrived to U. S. in about 3 weeks. Tracking was helpful too. I plan to purchase more items from you In the near future. Thank you again, Mikie Castello

Bonjour oui j’ai reçu toute les peaux commander mais plusieurs peaux avait des trous un peut décevant.

Finalement la commande est arrivée (avec bcp de retard >2 mois) néanmoins produit conforme, emballage parfait. Merci

i received the package after around 3 weeks i placed the order. Before ordering i received quick replies to my questions/emails, after i ordered i didn't get any replies to emails/questions. I bought a ngoni and a single peg for the kora. I didn't receive the peg. The ngoni was packed very well and is a beautiful instrument, and it sounds very well. BUT the ngoni I received (despite the good packaging) has a cracked gourd/calabash and i'm afraid it will break soon. I sent an email asking what to do/ how to repair it a few days ago, but I still haven't got the reply, it will hopefully come soon. Apart from the crack, the instrument is really well made, professional quality.

the Kora bridge base was poorly made and uneven, the bridge is well made but the holes are uneven and we have never seen this on any Koras before so will not be used, the dun dun sticks are good, just purchased for sentimental reasons as I used to live in Bobo.

After some trouble with the payment the communication from the vendor was very friendly and forthcoming. We figured it out together and I got to order the calabash that I had initially chosen. Shipment was fairly quick, packaging was neat and the carrying bag and calabash are both excellently made and beautiful. Very happy with my purchase!

Salut, j'ai passé la commande d'une petite Kora et je rejoints l'ensemble des commentaires précédents laissés sur le site, c'est à dire une livraison rapide (2 semaines), une qualité de finition de l'instrument vraiment géniale et une très grande disponibilité et rapidité de réponse de Fabrice concernant tous nos échanges par mail. Je tiens juste à apporter une précision concernant les frais de douane à régler lors de la réception de l'instrument en France car je cherchais justement cette information que je n'avais pas réussi à trouver sur les divers commentaires du livre d'or et pour ceux ou celles qui se poseraient la même question que moi, j'ai eu à payer 63 euros de frais de douane pour cette petite Kora. Merci encore Fabrice et félicitations à toute l'équipe pour la qualité de votre travail.
